In the study of Lollardy we have often been too ready to adopt the perspective of Lollardy's persecutors, who had a limited understanding of the movement they were attempting to repress. As a result we have often overestimated the effects of their attempts at censorship. While the Wycliffite bible, extant in over 250 manuscripts, is a glaring example of 'failed' censorship, in this paper I will discuss less prominent instances whose connections with Lollardy have been discounted or overlooked.
