Chris Highley, professor of English, has been awarded a prestigious Long-Term Folger Shakespeare Library Fellowship for the 2015-16 academic year to support his book project, “Blackfriars: Playhouse, Church, and Neighborhood in Early Modern London.” Long-term Folger fellows are selected by an external advisory committee whose members consider the importance of the topic, originality and sophistication of the approach; feasibility of research objectives, and the applicant’s need for the Folger collections.
