The center offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Medieval and Renaissance Studies. In addition to accepting CMRS affiliate courses from several departments across campus, CMRS also offers courses on medieval and early modern topics each quarter, including undergraduate favorites like Magic & Witchcraft or Arthurian Legends and several courses on individual cities that were cultural centers of their time, such as Medieval Moscow and Shakespeare’s London. For graduate and upper-level undergraduate students we offer Medieval Latin, Manuscript Studies, History of the Book and advanced seminars on a topic selected by the professor. To facilitate language skills in Medieval and Renaissance Studies, CMRS also supports language reading groups throughout the academic year.
