An 8th-Century Manuscript in Ohio: Examining the Daniel Fragment of the Luxeuil Prophets
Join The Ohio State University's Rare Books & Manuscripts Library (RBML) and the Center for Medieval & Renaissance Studies (CMRS) as Jessica Crabtree, PhD candidate in English, introduces us to one of the earliest surviving textual witnesses to the Book of Daniel in Latin. This early-8th-century manuscript was loaned to the university for use in the CMRS's Fall 2024 "Medieval Manuscript Studies" course.In addition to Jessica Crabtree's talk, the featured manuscript will be on display alongside a range of other original medieval artifacts from RBML's collections. This event is free and open to the public.
