Totally Bard Film Series: Romeo + Juliet (1996)
The CMRS film series has returned! This semester, we're focusing on totally rad Shakespeare adaptations from the 1990s to align with the current course on Shakespeare's London (MedRen 3217). Movies are at 7:00 pm on Thursday nights in 180 Hagerty Hall, followed by a brief talk and Q+A. Pizza and refreshments will be served. These screenings are free and are open to all. The movies are: 02/06 - Let the Devil Wear Black02/27 - 10 Things I Hate About You03/20 - O04/10 - Romeo + JulietThe final installment will feature Romeo + Juliet (1996). In this updated version of Shakespeare's classic play of the same name, two teenagers from dueling business empires fall passionately in love, leading to tragic consequences. Find the film on IMDB.
