Calling all poets!  

Lord Denney’s Players, the Department of English and the Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies are excited to announce the Spring 2024 Lord Denney’s Players Sonnet Contest! 

Submissions of individual Shakespearean sonnets are welcome from Ohio State undergraduate students from all colleges, campuses, and majors. Deadline for submission is Monday, April 1, 2024. Winners will be announced at the Department of English Awards Ceremony on April 15 at the Blackwell Inn from 5-6:30 pm. 

This year's winning entries will be published on the English Department’s webpage. Winning sonnets earn $100 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for honorable mention.
