Our congratulations to CMRS affiliate and History graduate student, Ayse Baltacioglu-Brammer, who is a recipient of the university-wide Presidential Fellowship in the Spring 2015 competition. The Presidential Fellowship will support Ayse's research in the 2015-2016 academic year. 

Ayse Baltacioglu entered the Ph.D. program at Ohio State University after receiving her B.A. degree in History from Koc University, Istanbul, Turkey in 2009. Her research interests include sixteenth-seventeenth centuries Middle Eastern history, especially Ottoman-Safavid Empires and religious policies. She studied Ottoman Turkish, Persian, and Italian.
