CMRS Affiliate Daniel Reff Receives Honors Faculty Service Award 2016

The Honors Faculty Service Award recognizes excellence in honors advising, honors instruction, honors committee work, and other honors initiatives and responsibilities which have enhanced the quality of education available to honors students in the liberal arts.  A one-time award of $1,000 is provided annually.

This year's recipient is CMRS Affiliate Professor Daniel Reff from the Department of Comparative Studies. Daniel Reff is an anthropologist and ethnohistorian with a particular interest in the comparative study of the role of missionaries in “the rise of Christianity” in various cultural-historical contexts.  His research has been made possible by a Weatherhead Fellowship from the School of American Research as well as Fellowships and grants from the Research Division of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
