The Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is a competition in which doctoral students attempt to effectively explain their research to a non-specialist audience in only three minutes and using only one static slide. 3MT was developed by the University of Queensland, Australia, in 2008 and is now held in universities across the globe.

On Monday, April 11, five doctoral students competed head-to-head for the honor of winning the 2016 Three Minute Thesis competition at Ohio State.

CMRS Grad Student Victoria Munoz was one of five finalists for the competition.
