Eric J. Johnson has accepted the position of Head of Thompson Special Collections and began his duties September 1. He will continue as the Lead Curator of the Rare Books and Manuscripts Library.
 
Reporting to the Associate Dean for Special Collections and Area Studies, Eric will lead the team of faculty and staff to support researchers, students, and national and international users in their engagement with special collections. He will continue to provide leadership for the collection development, teaching and outreach work of a team of curators and staff in the Thompson Special Collections. He will also represent Thompson Special Collections in collaborative and cooperative opportunities.
 
Eric will remain the interim Head of Area Studies until that position is filled in the upcoming months.
