Graduate Research Associate Open Position AY 2024-2025

The CMRS anticipates funding to support 25% appointment for the Autumn 2024 and Spring 2025 terms.

Duties: 

  • General administrative support for programs and events 
  • Designing, copywriting, & editing for the CMRS magazine Nouvelles Nouvelles as well as accompanying podcast 
  • Assisting in event planning such as finding speakers, groups etc. 
  • Assisting in the development of print & digital publicity materials for CMRS events and courses 
  • Management of & editing/copywriting for the CMRS website 
  • Maintenance of the CMRS email and social media accounts (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram)

Eligibility: 

Applicants must be full-time graduate students in good standing and available to work at least 10 hours per week each term. Preference will be given to students whose research is focused in the medieval, renaissance, or early modern periods.

Desired qualifications include: 

  • Knowledge of the medieval and renaissance fields 
  • Experience with various software such as Excel, Publisher, Drupal, Canva, and OSU’s Carmen/Canvas system
  • Prior experience in editing publications and/or websites

Applications may be submitted online through this form.  In addition to completing the online application form, applicants need to upload one brief statement of professional interest and training in medieval and renaissance studies (max. 2 pages) as well as a current CV.

More Details

25% appointments would cover 50% of tuition and the general instructional fee associated with summer enrollment, unless the student would already have a 25% or 50% appointment with another unit that would then cover either the other half or the full waiver expense.
