Hagerty Hall Exhibit on Martin Luther

Apocryphal Nailing of the Theses

The exhibit “Here I Stand: Life and Work of the German Reformer Martin Luther,” celebrates the 500th anniversary of the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. The majority of the posters on display were produced by the German government to mark the occasion. Six posters in the Crane Café are the work of student groups in German 3101 and document important aspects of Luther’ life and his impact. The comparison of Luther to political polarization in the United States today is evocative and demonstrates his relevance even today.

Hosted by The Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures until January 8, 2018.
