Lord Denney’s Players, the Department of English, and the Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies are excited to announce the second annual Lord Denney’s Players Sonnet Contest! Submissions of individual Shakespearean sonnets are welcome from Ohio State undergraduate students from all colleges and majors. The entry period for the competition will run from Monday, January 7 through Friday, March 8, 2019. Entries will be published in a chapbook distributed at LDP’s upcoming performance of Romeo and Juliet, which runs April 4-13, 2019. Winners will be announced at the Department of English Annual Awards ceremony on April 19, 2019.

First prize: $100

Second Prize: $50

Two Honorable Mentions: $25 each
