Calling all poets!  

Lord Denney’s Players, the Department of English and the Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies are excited to announce the Lord Denney’s Players Sonnet Contest. Submissions of individual Shakespearean sonnets are welcome from Ohio State undergraduate students from all colleges, campuses and majors.

The deadline for submission is Friday, March 31, 2023. Winners will be announced by the Department of English in late April. This year's winning entries will be published on the English Department’s webpage. Winning sonnets earn $100 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for honorable mention.
