Hiring announcement

The CMRS anticipates funding to support 25% and 50% appointments for the Autumn 2025 and Spring 2026 terms.

Duties:

  • General administrative support for programs and events
  • Designing, copywriting, & editing for the CMRS magazine Nouvelles Nouvelles
  • Assisting in event planning such as finding speakers, groups etc. as well as day of event support
  • Assisting in the development of print & digital publicity materials for CMRS events and courses
  • Management of & editing/copywriting for the CMRS website
  • Maintenance of the CMRS email and social media accounts (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram)

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be full-time graduate students in good standing and available to work at least 10 hours per week each term. Preference will be given to students whose research is focused in the medieval, renaissance, or early modern periods.
  • Desired qualifications include:
  • General availability on Fridays for events
  • Knowledge of the Medieval and Renaissance fields
  • Experience with various software such as Excel, Publisher, Drupal, Canva, and OSU’s Carmen/Canvas system
  • Prior experience in editing publications and/or websites
More Details:

Preferences and skills of applicants often determine how duties are shared or divided between the 50% and 25% appointments. ABD status by the time of appointment is strongly preferred.
